Kick-off Party This Saturday

Join us at the Ovarian Cycle Kick-off Party this Saturday, March 10th! The Dinner A’Fare at Ivy Walk in Smyrna is hosting the kick-off from 4:00 – 6:00pm. The Dinner A’Fare is located at 1675 Cumberland Parkway, Smyrna, GA 30080. The location is less than a mile outside of I-285. Join us for delicious food from The Dinner A'Fare, special discounts for those in attendance, a chance to win terrific prizes and the opportunity to meet and mingle with the other riders and supporters. The event is for anyone interested in learning more about Ovarian Cycle, whether you are already signed up as a rider or interested in supporting the cause in another way. If possible, RSVP to katherine.kinser@ovariancycle.org or 770-321-6097. Ride packages and T-shirts will be available for pick up for those who RSVP in advance. [top]

Final Ride Location Announcement

While we’re on the topic of the upcoming event, please note that this year the final ride will be held at one location (Midtown Athletic Club at Windy Hill), rather than at clubs throughout the city. All of our club sponsors will still provide weekly training sessions. We’ll just all come together on April 28th at one location for the final ride. Without the generous support of our club sponsors, this event would not be possible, so when you’re visiting your assigned club for your training sessions, please extend a warm thanks to the management and trainers! Internet Searching & Online Shopping for a Cause

How many times a day do you used google or Yahoo! to search the internet? Have you heard of Goodsearch.com? If not start using the site as your search engine of choice. Simply go to http://www.goodsearch.com, designate Ovarian Cycle as your non-profit of choice and every time you search for something (just like you would with google or Yahoo!), $.01 will be donated to Ovarian Cycle. Let’s watch those pennies add up!

Looking for some unique accessories, jewelry, purses or even baby gifts? Visit www.giftitwomen.com to find some really cool stuff and raise money for Ovarian Cycle at the same time! For every purchase you make between now and June 15th, a portion of the proceeds will go to Ovarian Cycle. Shopping online has never been so rewarding! [top]

Message from Ovarian Cancer Institute

Following is a message from Dr. Benigno of OCI to all Ovarian Cycle supporters. OCI is one of the main recipients of Ovarian Cycle donations.

Dear Ovarian Cycle Supporters,

Greetings from the Ovarian Cancer Institute! We are all excited about Ovarian
Cycle 2007 and are looking forward to the kick-off on March 10th. I thank you
all for your participation and hope that this is the best year yet.

2007 has brought exciting results in our lab. We have been collaborating with
engineers at Georgia Tech and have been doing a lot of research in the
nanotechnology area. We are in the process of patenting some of our research
and I hope to share a some exciting news with you soon!

Also, Dr. John McDonald, OCI's Chief Scientific Officer, and I will be
traveling to Florence, Italy soon to attend an international genetics
conference. We will be sharing our work with scientists from around the globe.

If you are interested in visiting our lab, please call our administrative
office at (404) 385-7016. We would love to show you around.

Thank you again for your support.

Benedict Benigno
