Ovarian Cancer in the News: Are We Closer to an Early-Detection Test?

Ovarian Cycle was founded in memory of Debbie Flamm, who succumbed to ovarian cancer in 2003 at the age of 43.

Now Debbie's alma mater, the University of South Florida, has announced a strategic partnership that could help make an early-detection test for ovarian cancer a reality for women worldwide.

Working with the USF Research Foundation, GeoPharma, Inc., is looking to form a licensing agreement for USF-developed technology that detects ovarian cancer through a patient's urine samples. The president of GeoPharma said a test of this sort could save thousands of women's lives.

You can read the full article here.

This is exciting news for Ovarian Cycle, as an early-detection test is exactly the mission we're working to achieve. We look forward to seeing all of you on April 26 as we ride together to change the future!
