As a participating city (which we identify as an Affiliate), this is what you do: - Secure a health club to host the training and the event
- Set the date for your event in coordination with the club hosting the event
- Work with your health club to identify a key staff member at the gym to be the liaison with you and/or your organization. This person will take charge, schedule the endurance training rides, and recruit instructors to help implement the training program.
- Get the word out! Recruit riders through targeted marketing opportunities such as events at health clubs, women’s associations, races, bike shops, health food stores – you name it!
- Identify a local beneficiary for some of the ride proceeds (if desired). Integrate them into your marketing campaign.
- Secure support materials such as food, beverages, audio support, banner, balloons, raffle prizes, goody bags items, etc. We recommend identifying local donors for these materials.
- Recruit volunteers to ensure the riders are taken care of throughout the final 6-hour event.
What the riders do: - Commit to raising the minimum donation amount as set by Ovarian Cycle and the Affiliate
- Train as desired
- Participate in the final event
