The funds raised by Ovarian Cycle will promote cutting-edge, scientific research that targets early detection and diagnosis of ovarian cancer. OC strives to minimize event and organizational expenses through reliance on pro bono services from our dedicated volunteers and through in-kind support from generous businesses. Founded in 1994, OCRF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the most effective methods for research enhancement. OCRF has funded 40 of the brightest women and men in the field today at 20 leading medical centers across the country.
Using the latest technologies, these investigators are breaking new ground though the discoveries of new treatment modalities, genetic markers, and diagnostic tools. Together, these researchers have achieved remarkable results and have received unparalleled training opportunities that will greatly impact the field of ovarian cancer research as a whole.
Founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1999, OCI is a not for profit research organization affiliated with Georgia Institute of Technology. The mission of the Institute is to conduct research leading to early detection and more effective treatment of ovarian cancer.
Comprising a statewide team of researchers and bioinformaticists, OCI is engaged in developing an accurate and specific, non-invasive diagnostic blood test for cancer of the ovary, researching its molecular basis and developing more effective therapies. Funded in part by the Georgia Cancer Coalition, OCI will soon have the largest bank of ovarian tissue and serum samples in the world.
