About the Disease

Ovarian Cancer is not silent…it whispers. There is currently no way to screen for ovarian cancer. Early symptoms are often mild, making this disease difficult to detect. Some early symptoms may include:

  • General abdominal discomfort and/or pain (gas, indigestion, swelling, bloating, cramps)
  • Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, or frequent urination
  • Loss of appetite
  • Feeling of fullness even after a light meal
  • Weight gain or loss with no known reason
  • Shortness of breath

Most often these symptoms do not indicate ovarian cancer. However, if these symptoms persist for three weeks or longer, consult your health practitioner.
