The Ride to Change the Future™ and Ready. Set. Ride! ™ are the only events of their kind dedicated to raising funds to support ovarian cancer research. Since 2004 these Ovarian Cycle events have raised more than $1 million to support ovarian cancer research leading to a reliable ovarian cancer screening test to enhance early diagnosis of the disease and more effective therapeutic interventions to enhance treatment outcomes and cancer survival rates. The Ride to Change the Future™ consists of six weeks of training that culminates in the 6-hour virtual century ride. That’s 100 miles - virtual miles - as this is indoor cycling. Don’t be intimidated! You can do it at your own pace, or you can share the distance with team members. Participating cities for 2012 include: Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX and Tallahassee, FL. Ready. Set. Ride! is an abbreviated version of the Ride to Change the Future. This event has a shorter training period and the final ride is 3 hours or less in duration. Participants in Ready. Set. Ride! can complete the event individually, or as a member of a team. Participating cities for 2012 include New York. Participation in either of these Ovarian Cycle events is open to men and women 16 years of age or older, Novice and seasoned cyclists are invited to participate. All Ride to Change the Future participants have required minimum fundraising amounts which vary by city. Consult the homepage of the city you wish to participate in to find out the minimum requirement. All funds must be raised prior to participating in the ride.
